One drawback of polished concrete is that is not very acoustically absorbent, causing it to create echoes in a quiet space. This shortcoming will be measured and considered in the overall selection of which flooring system to use.

In addition to weighing the construction benefits of the proposed prefabricated building enclosure, the change of thermal properties must be evaluated as well. This analysis will determine how well the prefabricated panels stack up to the traditional stick-built system.
